Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 5th International Scientific Online Conference AGROBIODIVERSITY FOR IMPROVING THE NUTRITION, HEALTH, LIFE QUALITY, AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE.

The conference is organized by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources (Slovakia), in collaboration with the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine within the international AgroBioNet network.

The main aim of the international conference is to disseminate research results, exchange experiences, and identify key issues, challenges, and obstacles in the thematic areas of the conference. It aims to bring together researchers and scientists to exchange and share their experiences and research results regarding the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Botany, Plant Genetic Resources, Plant Breeding, Seed production. Plant Biotechnology, Food Sciences, Bee and Bee Products, Viticulture and Enology, Microbiology, Medicinal Plants, Phytotherapy, and other ones.

Your results and findings from the research can be presented in all themes and thematic sessions of the international conference.

Organization of the International Conference
Due to the current difficult period of the pandemic, the international conference will only take place online.

The opening of the International Conference will take place on November 3rd, 2021 according to the program which will be announced to the participants via the website https://agrobionet.uniag.sk/en/events.

The international conference will continue in open access through a continuous process in the form of sessions on various current topics. The dates of the sessions will be continuously presented on the above-mentioned website. Each session on a specific topic will be held with one day program with a presentation of 10–15 lectures.

  2. Ex situ and in situ conservation of biodiversity
  3. Forgotten, little-known, and less-used plant species
  4. Plants in holistic medicine
  5. Plants in functional medicine
  6. Adaptogenic plants
  7. Plants as natural antibiotics
  8. Bee clinic and human vital activity
  9. Biophilia
  10. Nature in transhumanism

 

Important dates:
Start of Abstract Submission: July 1, 2021
Abstract Submission Deadline: October 10, 2021

Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: September 20, 2021 (please, contact the organizing committee if you do not receive confirmation).
Sending the Book of Abstracts: November 3, 2021

Official conference languages: Slovak, English, Ukrainian, Russian

Instructions for preparation of abstracts

✓ Abstracts must be written in English.
✓ Abstracts should contain the aim, material and methods, main results, and brief conclusions. The authors are advised not to make them too short or general (3000–3500 characters, including spaces).
✓ 3–5 keywords should be included, separated by commas.
✓ The Acknowledgments to the people, grants, funds, etc. should be brief.

Tables, charts, or other graphics may not be included and will be deleted by the editors. Abstracts not corresponding to the recommended format or the topics of the conference will not be accepted. A book of abstracts will be available electronically at the opening of the Conference.

Full paper submission (optional) to a special issue of Agrobiodiversity for Improve the Nutrition, Health and Quality of Life: October 1, 2021.

Agrobiodiversity for Improve the Nutrition, Health and Life Quality is the Proceedings of scientific papers issued annually by the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden (NBG) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, within the jointly established international network AgtoBioNet. The Journal was formerly published as a serial with annual periodicity (proceedings of scientific papers) up to 2020 and from the year 2021 it is published in biannual periodicity (two issues per year). The original scientific papers oriented on the conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources of traditional, forgotten, underutilized, and less known plant species, which are presented in the Proceedings to support the increase of food safety, food security, biosafety, plant breeding, and expansion, use of plant species for improvement of the population health, ensuring the remediation of natural resources and environment, improving the socio-economic rural development and creating conditions for the development of regional economy and supporting the development of small and medium-sized farms.

There are no fees for submitting papers for consideration or publication. The reviewed papers are accepted to be published after being positively reviewed by two anonymous reviewers (exceptionally three). The final decision on the publication is made by Editorial Board.
